My Experience On Monsoon Hike

On 4th Shrawan, 2076 ( 20 July, 2019) We 10th graders went for monsoon hike to Changunarayan to Muhan pokhari. We went there with our class-mates and teachers . We were all excited to go on a hike. As it was our last hike with our school friends and teachers it has left a incredible spot on our memories with full of enjoyment, excitement, adventure and tiredness which can not be forgotten.

We all students gathered on 7:30 Am and we started to move at 8:00 Am by bus. We enjoyed the scenery  while going through bus .We reached our hiking spot after 1 hour ride on bus. Firstly, on the way we went to changunarayan temple. We walked more than 2 hours that exhausted all of us. The paths were nice in some place but there were many difficult paths. In the way there by walking there were many beautiful scenery of green forests and villages .We walked for 2 hours to reach Muhan Pokhari we were all tired. In the way, we saw many beautiful flowers after walking for more than 45 minutes. We reached to Muhan Pokhari  we saw small waterfall and started to climb up the hill the path was full of  slippery stones and soil and had food over there. And started to walk again and reached at waterfall there were many people over there after seeing the place for few minutes we returned back . Returning back was the hardest part. After returning down we played in the small waterfall place. Although, the hike was a great success and we had a lot of fun.

I would like to thank our school teachers for giving us this opportunity to make us realize the importance of hiking and making us to experience the beautiful mother nature .

Visit to Seri-culture development center

We grade 10 students were taken to Kaver on 14th June, 2019 ( 31st Jestha, 2076) to gain more knowledge about silkworm . When we got on the bus it was around 10:20 AM and we reached our destination on 11:58 AM. The place was very beautiful and peaceful the compound was also really big with many mulberry leaves where there is sufficient area for doing seri-culture. We were only shown the farming of seri-silkworm which is feed on mulberry leaves. There we saw the silk of silkworm, materials and machine required for the processing of thread. After visiting the field we were given more knowledge about silkworm.
Machine used for producing silk
According to my understanding, There are two types of silkworm cultivated in Nepal i.e. Seri-silkworm and Eri-silkworm. Seri-culture is the process of rearing silkworm on commercial scale. The small invertebrates insects which are feed on mulberry leaves are known as silkworm. It was found that silkworm are easily cultivated. The teacher(the person who was guiding and giving us knowledge about silkworm) showed us complete metamorphosis in their life cycle. There are 4 stages of silk worm i.e. egg, larva, pupa and adult.  In larva there is again a stage which consists of 5 stage that are:-

1) 1st instar
After incubating eggs for about two weeks 1st instar are hatched and they are feed for about 6 days and are stopped feeding for 24 hours and are moult into 2nd instar.

2) 2nd instar
After feeding for 12 days they are stopped feeding for 24 hours and are moult into 3rd instar.

3) 3rd instar
After feeding for about 18 days they are stopped feeding for 24 hours and moults into 4th instar.

4) 4th instar
After feeding for 24 days they are stopped feeding for 24 hours and moults into 5th instar.

5) 5th instar
It is the final stage of larva. It consists of well-developed silk gland and 5th instar starts to produce silk thread and wrap itself in to cocoon.

Lastly, Seri-culture is beneficial for the economic purpose in the context of Nepal. Getting all this information about silkworm wouldn't have been possible if our teachers haven't gave this chance. For providing this kind of facilities and practical education for all the students we are very thankful to the school administration for this opportunity.

THANK YOU!!!!

Cyber Crime

The purpose of school is to provide quality education. likewise, My school provides quality education with extra classes. just few days ago we were given a class by community police and the class gave us the education about awareness towards cyber crime.

The class was only provided to grade 10 students. We learned about the criminal activities happening around the internet right now. Cyber crime is the criminal activity which has leaked many people privacy. The class was wonderful which taught us many things and to remain always alert from our problems. We should remain careful while using social medias and also not to share our private information . So that, It helps to prevent from some kinds of problems. The policeman taught us to dial in 100 if we are in any emergency or any type of trouble. Cyber Crime is the main cause of human traffcking. In addiction towards drugs was also the subject kept in that class. We got some of the information about the law of country.

The class remain interesting because of the video shown to us. The video was also motivational. We learned something about cyber crime and privacy from that video. The incident happened in the person's life was shown.  Now days cyber crime has become a global problem. The class was very inspirational and the program also taught us many things. The policeman also told us that he will take us to visit the community police area.

This type of class is very beneficial for all the students. All school don't have this type of class where they can get extra knowledge. I'm very grateful towards our teachers for giving us this opportunity to know about different types of issues happening now days and how to prevent this type of issues.

Experience of Drama

Aadhi Ko Manoram Nitrya

On 9th May, 2019 (Baishak 26,2076) Thursday. Our school took us to show the drama in Batisputali. Everyone was excited to watch the drama. Grade 8,9 and 10 students were very lucky to go and see the drama. The drama was more amazing than I thought. The drama was about these days teenagers.

The drama was written by 'Yubraj Ghimere' And the title of drama was 'Aadhi Ko Manoram Nitrya'. The characters of  drama were really impressive at acting . The drama was inspirational for all the teenagers like us. It shows the curiosity of teenagers towards the bad behavior due to the relationship with bad friends. It also shows that making a bad friend may lead teenagers to many troubles which can also cause various conflict in the family.
The features and feeling were sketched on the drama. In the opening of the drama parijat (ma sadak bholdai xu) was sang. Some part of the drama were really funny and some part were heart touching. I was really motivated by the drama. The ending of the drama was the saddest and heart touching scene. And I got positive lesson to control myself from negative feeling and motivated towards the positive thoughts or feelings.

The drama was inspirational and amazing and it taught to be responsible and to avoid bad friends company and also to focus on our studies because some good things take times.

JANAI PURNIMA

Janai Purnima is observed in the month of Shrawan. It is called Rakshya Bandhan as this festival observes the bond of purity and security.  This festival is celebrated by Hindus all over the world.

Janai Purnima is Sacred Thread Festival. On this day, Hindu men, especially the Brahmins and Chettris perform their annual change of Janai and all who celebrates this festival put a scared thread around their wrist.

Janai is a cotton string worn across the chest by Hindu male. This thread is only given to males during a long and  impressive religious ceremony called Bratabandhan. Almost all the religion has type of Bratabandhan, but known by different names. Bratabandhan is basically a formal process of accepting someone in the religion.

The Janai initiates the boy into manhood and commands them to devotedly follow the religion and the path of truth. The Janai must be worn every day of their lives after they listen their mantra from the guru during the Bartabandha.

Janai is regarded as symbol of body, speech and mind, and when the knots are tied the person wearing it is supposed to gain complete control over each of them.
This cord is changed if it becomes untidy or dishonored due to those acts which are forbidden by religion.  However, Janai must be changed without fail on Rakhsya Bandhan Day.

Janai is sacred thread, and Purnima is full moon day, thus it is Janai festival in the
full moon day of Shrawan.

JAI JATRA

Gai Jatra, (gāi means cow and jātrā means festival) is a festival celebrated in Nepal, mainly in Kathmandu valley by the Newar community. The festival commemorates the death of people during the year and is generally celebrated in the month of [Bhadra (Hindu calendar)|Bhadra] )August–September). The date is set according to the lunar Nepal Era calendar: it falls on the first day of the dark fortnight of the month of [Gunla].
The Festival of Cows is one of the most popular festivals of Nepal. It is celebrated to diminish the sadness from the death of family members. During the festival, cows are marched in the streets. People also distribute food to others.
  • The whole complex of Gai Jatra festival has its roots in the ancient ages when people feared and worshiped Yamaraj, the god of death. However, the ironic sessions synonymous with the Gai Jatra festival entered the tradition in the medieval period of Nepal during the reign of the Malla Kings. Hence, the present form of Gaijatra is a happy blending of antiquity and the medieval era.

  • According to the traditions since time immemorial, every family who has lost one relative during the past year must participate in a procession through the streets of Kathmandu leading a cow. If a cow is unavailable then a young boy dressed as a cow is considered a fair substitute.

  • In Hinduism, a cow is regarded the most venerated among all the domestic animals. It is believed that the cow, revered as a holy animal by Hindus, will help the deceased relative's journey to heaven.
